Job Summary:

The Admissions Clinical Coordinator is a fast paced role that provides oversight and coordination of the day-to-day admissions process. Working closely with the Nurse Practitioners/RN clinicians related to the admissions process. Utilize strong communication skills, serving as a liaison between the intake team and clinical staff.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate data entry on new admissions- demographics, allergies, heigh and weight, and past medical history
  • Alert appropriate staff of any admission discrepancies
  • Update medication profile in Better RX
  • Audit Better RX and EHR
  • Maintain physician modified orders as needed related to diagnosis changes
  • Update provider forms, and upload and inform Operations department of completion
  • Complete death pre-registrations
  • Perform death re-registration audits monthly
  • Maintain facility pharmacy list
  • Assist intake/admission nurses with miscellaneous tasks
  • Assist with clerical duties: fax, copies

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of appropriate HIPAA and confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Able to work as both a part of a team and independently
  • Possesses great organizational skills
  • Possesses impeccable communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Comfortable with fast paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products i.e. Excel, Word, etc.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of Accredited Nursing Program
  • Possess a valid Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Regularly operate and assist with physical and mechanical transfers
