Dementia Class: Strategies for Communication & Support for Individuals & Their Families
This course describes changes in communication that happen during the early, middle, and late
stages of dementia and discusses strategies for effectively communicating with individuals living with dementia. Tips for assisting people with dementia in completing activities of daily living, behavioral interventions for de-escalating dementia related behaviors, and strategies for effectively working with families will also be examined.
This education is appropriate for direct care staff in long-term senior care settings.
