With 35 years of experience, Allison will share insights into the signs and symptoms commonly experienced by patients, guiding us through the transitional stage to active dying. She will provide valuable communication techniques we can all use to support both patients and their loved ones during the end-of-life journey.

- Recognize signs of discomfort at end-of-life and comfort measures caregivers can provide

- Understand the role of hospice at end-of-life

Allison Oja is a Thanatologist focused on the study of death, dying, and loss and the Director of Education and Community Support at Minnesota Hospice. Ms. Oja is passionate about normalizing discussions and expanding knowledge around end-of-life for patients and families.
