Join us for an enlightening conversation about the dying process with local educator Allison Oja from Minnesota Hospice. With 35 years of experience, Allison will share insights into the signs and symptoms commonly experienced by patients, guiding us through the transitional stage to active dying. She will provide valuable communication techniques we can all use to support both patients and their loved ones during the end-of-life journey.

Free 1 CEU credit

This CEU will include the following objectives:

  • Identify changes that may occur physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and/or spiritually from transitional through the active stages of the dying process
  • Recognize signs of discomfort at end-of-life and comfort measures caregivers can provide
  • Determine communication techniques for supporting the dying at end-of-life
  • Understand the role of hospice at end-of-life
