Quality Data Review Analyst

Job Summary:

The Quality Data Review Analyst will be responsible for clinical documentation and charting audits to ensure consistency and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for assisting the Operations department with quality improvement projects and providing education to affected staff, completion of required documentation per insurance requirements and responding to requests for medical records. This position will also act as a resource to other departments regarding insurance coverage and hospice coverage for items, services and medications.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clinical documentation and chart auditing and review
  • Participate in weekly IDG meetings
  • Assit with completion of clinical forms and coverage documentation as required
  • Respond to medical record requests as appropriate
  • Assist the Director ofOperations and Complaince & Quality Assurance RN to identify areas of risk and develop a plan to ensure compliance with all regularory bodies
  • Provide individual and company wide education on compliance related topics
  • Assist the Compliance & Quality Assurance RN on all emergency preparedness related initiatives and programs

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of appropriate HIPAA and confidentiality
  • Able to work as both a part of a team and independently
  • Possesses great organizational Skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products i.e. Excel, Word, etc.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Posess a valid Minnesota Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed
  • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a health care setting
  • 1 year hospice or long-term care experience preferred
  • Experience with medical record review and/or auditing preferred
  • Familiarity with Hospice regulations and QAPI process

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly lift and move up to 20lbs
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
