Join us to learn more about how communication changes during the early, middle, and late stages of dementia and
to discuss strategies for effectively communicating with individuals living with dementia. Tips for assisting your
loved ones with dementia in completing activities of daily living and behavioral interventions for de-escalating
dementia-related behaviors will also be examined.

The purpose of this presentation is to help attendees:

  • Better understand dementia and the changes in communication that happen during the early, middle, and
    late stages of dementia.
  • Learn about strategies for assisting people living with dementia in completing activities of daily living,
such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and eating with less resistance and as much independence as
    possible.
  • Learn about non-pharmaceutical and behavioral interventions for de-escalating dementia related
    behaviors
